Who You're Contracting With

These Terms of Service govern your purchase and use of Footage Fusion products and services. "Footage Fusion," "we," "us" and "our" mean Footage Fusion LLC. By purchasing, setting up or using a Footage Fusion service, you agree to these terms.

Products Covered

These terms apply to every Footage Fusion product and service, including:

  • Family Stories, formerly StoryKeeper (including Life Stories, Pregnancy Journey and Share Your Testimony)
  • Family Stories Membership (monthly or annual)
  • Family Stories Collection / Family Membership, where offered
  • Ovation (all packages and occasions)
  • Business Stories (monthly subscriptions)
  • Custom Family Stories
  • Custom and Advanced Ovation Projects
  • Marketing Videos
  • Other approved custom Footage Fusion projects

What The Service Includes

Depending on what you purchase, Footage Fusion services may include:

  • Guided questions and prompts
  • Video recording workflows you complete from your own device
  • Collection of submitted recordings
  • Editing, captions and organization
  • Project communication and reminders
  • Delivery of finished video
  • Recurring content or story services
  • Custom production work

Exact Deliverables

The specific deliverables, quantities and options you receive depend on the product or package you purchased, or on the approved scope of your custom project. Where a package describes a number of prompts or recordings, that number is the amount included.

Messages Included In Your Finished Video

Your package includes a set number of messages in your finished video. You're welcome to invite as many people as you'd like. If we receive more messages than your package includes, we'll let you know and you can either add capacity or tell us which messages to include. Unused capacity does not roll over, is not refundable, and has no cash value. Footage Fusion does not decide which messages are included when a package receives more responses than it covers — that choice is always yours.

What We Need From You

So we can do our part, you're responsible for:

  • Providing accurate contact and project information
  • Completing the required setup steps
  • Providing the required recordings and materials
  • Meeting the recording deadline you selected
  • Responding when we need a decision to keep the project moving
  • Getting appropriate permission from people you invite or submit information about
  • Making sure you have the rights to any logos, footage, photos or graphics you send us
  • Reviewing delivered work and sending revision feedback within the project's timeline

Turnaround — Family Stories And Ovation

Preparation: up to 3 business days after Footage Fusion has all required setup information. Production: up to 3 business days after all required recordings and materials are ready for production, or after the purchaser authorizes us to proceed with what has been received. Time spent waiting on customer setup, recordings or decisions does not count against our production turnaround. For multi-storyteller packages such as the Family Stories Collection and Two Storytellers, production turnaround scales with the number of storytellers and the total number of recordings, and the expected timeline will be communicated to you at setup.

Turnaround — Business Stories

Once Footage Fusion receives all required recordings for a monthly Business Stories batch, the initial finished batch will be delivered within 7 business days. The production clock starts only when the batch is ready for production; recording delays by you or your team do not count against the Footage Fusion production window.

Business Stories Revisions

Each monthly Business Stories batch includes one consolidated revision round covering that batch as a whole, not a separate revision round for each video. After a batch is delivered, you have a revision window (5 business days unless we tell you otherwise) to submit all of your requested changes together, in one request, covering any number of the individual videos in that batch. Each video you reference is revised once; videos you don't mention are treated as approved. Standard revisions are typically completed within 2–3 business days after all consolidated revision feedback is received. Once the round closes, additional revision requests, new creative direction, replacement footage, material re-edits or other out-of-scope work may require additional fees, which we will quote and you will approve before we proceed. Errors on our end are always fixed at no charge.

Business Stories Scope

Business Stories pricing covers the standardized Business Stories service scope. It does not automatically include social media posting, social account management, custom on-location filming, unlimited revisions, highly advanced custom animation, or significant changes in scope. Additional work may require custom pricing with your approval.

Performance Disclaimer

Footage Fusion provides content and production services, not guaranteed marketing outcomes. We do not guarantee viral content, social reach, views, follower growth, engagement, leads, customers, sales or revenue.

Custom Services

For Custom Family Stories, Custom and Advanced Ovation Projects, Marketing Videos and other custom projects, the approved quote, scope or project agreement may define price, deliverables, turnaround, payment schedule, revision allowance and additional terms. These general terms apply unless the approved project-specific agreement supersedes or modifies them.

Subscriptions And Automatic Renewal

Family Stories Membership, Family Membership (where offered) and Business Stories are recurring services. The recurring amount and billing frequency are disclosed before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time using the subscription-management process we provide. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for; future recurring charges stop after cancellation is effective, and no new fulfillment cycles are generated after the subscription ends.

Cancellation And Content You Already Have

Canceling a recurring membership stops future recurring service according to your paid billing period. Cancellation does not by itself delete videos or content already completed for you. Retention and hosting of delivered media are governed by our storage practices below, separately from subscription status.

Changes To Subscription Pricing

If we change the price of a recurring service you are subscribed to, we will tell you before the change takes effect and give you a chance to cancel. Price changes never apply to a billing period you have already paid for.

Refunds And Cancellation

Where you are in the project determines what we can do:

  • Before setup is complete. If you have not finished setup and we have not sent any recording invitations, you can cancel for a full refund within 14 days of purchase. Contact us at stories@footagefusion.com and we will take care of it.
  • After setup, before production. Once setup is complete and invitations have gone out, we have started work on your project. If you need to stop, we will first offer to extend your recording window or issue account credit toward a future project, and in most cases that solves it. If it does not, we may issue a partial refund at our discretion based on how much work has been completed.
  • After production begins or a draft is delivered. At this point the work is done and we cannot refund it. We will still make it right: if we made an error, we fix it at no charge. If you need more time, we will extend your window. If something else has gone wrong, tell us and we will find a fair solution.
  • Subscriptions. You can cancel any recurring service at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for, and no further charges are made after that. We do not refund the current period, and no new fulfillment cycles are generated after the subscription ends.
  • Not using the service. A completed purchase reserves fulfillment capacity for you. Not completing setup, not recording, not inviting contributors, or simply not using the service does not by itself entitle you to a refund. That said, we are reasonable people. We may issue refunds, credits or accommodations at our discretion, and nothing here removes rights you have under applicable law.
  • Talk to us first. If something is wrong with your order, contact us at stories@footagefusion.com before disputing a charge with your bank or card issuer. We would rather fix it directly, and we can almost always resolve it faster than a dispute process can.

When A Storyteller Can No Longer Record

Some of our customers are working against a real and difficult timeline. If the person whose stories you are preserving passes away, becomes seriously ill, or is otherwise unable to record before your project is complete, contact us. You may choose a full refund or full account credit, whatever is right for your family, regardless of how far the project has progressed. If some recordings were completed, we will finish and deliver what we have if you want us to, at no additional charge. We will not ask you to document or prove anything.

Content Standards

Footage Fusion does not permit content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, defamatory, or that depicts or promotes violence, self-harm, exploitation of a minor, or hate. This applies to anything submitted through a Footage Fusion service, including recordings, custom questions, uploaded materials, and written text. Footage Fusion does not review or monitor all submitted content before it is processed. We rely on you, and on anyone you invite to record or submit material, to follow these standards. If Footage Fusion becomes aware that submitted content may violate this policy, we may decline to process it, remove it from your project, pause or cancel the related order, and refuse to include it in your finished deliverable, without refunding fees already earned for work completed. Rather than deleting flagged material immediately, we normally move it out of production and hold it separately. Footage Fusion may preserve and disclose content, account information, or related records as required by law or in response to a valid legal request. Where we believe content depicts harm to a child or an imminent risk to someone's safety, we may report it to appropriate authorities. Nothing in this section requires Footage Fusion to review, screen, or monitor content, and Footage Fusion is not responsible for the substance of what a customer or participant chooses to say or record.

Contributors Under 18

Some Footage Fusion projects, especially Ovation, include recordings from children. That is welcome and often the best part of the finished video. It also means we need permission from the right person. If you are inviting contributors, you are responsible for only inviting people you have appropriate permission to invite, and for letting the parent or guardian of any contributor under 18 know that their child has been invited to record. If a contributor is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must be present and must complete the consent step at the start of the recording process. We collect the parent or guardian's name and email and record the exact permission wording they agreed to, along with the date and time. We do not knowingly collect recordings from anyone under 18 without this consent. If we learn that a recording was submitted by a minor without parent or guardian consent, we will remove it from the project.

Purchaser And Recipient

Many Footage Fusion projects are gifts, which means the person who paid and the person the project is about are often not the same. The purchaser controls the project. They complete setup, choose the questions, invite contributors, set the deadline, receive support, and receive the finished video. If you want someone else to have access, you can share the delivery link with them. If you need to transfer control of a project to someone else, contact us and we will help.

Inactivity And Paused Orders

If required setup remains incomplete, we send reminders. After a period of inactivity, an order may be moved to "Paused — Customer Action Required" so it stops appearing as active work. A paused order is not automatically canceled and is not automatically refunded; contact us and we'll help you restart it.

Recording Windows

You choose a recording window during setup, and you, your storyteller and your contributors are responsible for recording inside it. Family Stories recording windows are typically 7, 14 or 30 days. Ovation collection windows are typically 3, 7, 14 or 30 days, or an approved date. The standard maximum recording period is 30 days unless Footage Fusion approves an exception. Product setup screens show the options available for your purchase.

Ownership Of Your Content

You keep ownership of the original materials and content you and your participants provide. You grant Footage Fusion the limited rights we need to receive, process, edit, reproduce for fulfillment, transmit, store operationally and deliver your project. That's it — no broader public rights come with buying a video from us.

Marketing Permission

Using your finished video, raw recordings, images, likeness, testimonial, private family story or Business Stories content in Footage Fusion advertising, portfolio or marketing requires separate, appropriate permission unless expressly agreed otherwise. Marketing permission is never bundled into ordinary acceptance of these terms.

Rights To Material You Provide

You represent that you have the appropriate rights and permissions for content you provide to us, including logos, trademarks, photos, recordings, footage, graphics and documents. If you're not sure whether you can use something, tell us before we build it into your project.

Music

We do not accept customer-submitted audio and do not add specific copyrighted songs to any video we produce, regardless of the reason. Once you have downloaded your finished video, your own copy is yours to add music to.

Third-Party Providers

Footage Fusion uses third-party service providers for functions such as payment processing, video recording, email and text messaging, hosting and storage, production workflow, delivery and infrastructure. We may change providers as needed to deliver the service.

Storage And Your Own Copy

We retain project files for a reasonable operational period so you can access your finished work, but we do not promise forever storage, permanent storage or lifetime hosting. Please download and keep your own copy of delivered videos and files. If Footage Fusion later offers a dedicated storage or vault product, it will have its own clearly stated retention policy.

SMS/Text Messaging Terms

If you voluntarily opt in to Footage Fusion text messaging, Footage Fusion may send you SMS messages related to your project and customer relationship, including setup instructions, recording invitations, reminders, project updates, customer support messages, and final delivery notifications. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to opt out of text messages. Reply HELP for help or contact Footage Fusion at stories@footagefusion.com. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchase. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Service Availability And Events Outside Our Control

We plan our turnaround commitments to be met. Delivery timing may still be affected by circumstances outside our reasonable control, such as third-party provider outages, widespread internet or platform failures, emergencies, illness or other events beyond reasonable control. If that happens, we will tell you and complete your project as promptly as we reasonably can.

Warranty Disclaimer

Footage Fusion provides its services with professional care. Except as expressly stated in these terms, our services are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Footage Fusion's total liability arising out of or relating to a project is limited to the amount you paid to Footage Fusion for that project, and Footage Fusion is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify Footage Fusion for third-party claims arising from content or materials you provide without the necessary rights or permissions.

Governing Law And Disputes

Footage Fusion is a United States-based company. Until governing law, venue and dispute-resolution procedure are stated here, we will work in good faith to resolve any concern directly with you.

Changes To These Terms

We may update these terms. Each version has an identifier (this version is terms-2026-09-v3), and the version you accepted at purchase is the version recorded for your order. Updates do not change acceptance already on file for a completed purchase.
