Questions People Ask Before They Buy
What is an Ovation?
Other people's words, for someone you love. You send one link, people record short video messages, and we bring them together into one finished video you can play for them.
What does "up to 10 recordings" mean?
It's the total number of recordings, not the number of people. One person can record ten messages, or ten people can each record one.
What if some people never record?
We build the Ovation from what comes in, and we'll nudge people for you before the deadline. You are never left waiting on someone else.
Can someone help my parent or loved one record their answers?
Absolutely. Many of our storytellers have a spouse, child, or caregiver read the question aloud and press record for them. The story and the words are still entirely theirs — the help is just with the phone or camera.
Do I need any equipment or an app?
No. Everything happens through a private link that opens in the browser on any phone, tablet or computer. There is nothing to download and nothing to set up.
What if the person recording isn't good with technology?
They tap one link, see one question at a time, and press record — and they can re-record as many times as they want. They also don't have to do it alone. A family member can hold the phone, read them the questions and hit record for them. If anyone gets stuck, email us and we'll walk them through it.
How long does it take to get the finished video?
The clock starts once all the recordings are in. We'll confirm the delivery date with you after purchase, and you'll hear from us at each step so you're never guessing.
Can I buy this as a gift?
Yes, and most people do. You pay, we send the recording link to whoever is recording, and the finished video comes to you to give them.
Do I get to keep it?
Yes. You can watch it, share it and download it, so it lives somewhere you control — not just on our site.
Who can see our videos?
Only the people you share the link with. We don't publish, sell or use your recordings for marketing without your written permission.
